To design a hopefully safe tool, I envisioned one that would lock onto the spring so that an recoil would be easier to control. The slotted angle iron was used to form a rigid triangle frame, and a piece of 2" x 2" was used to form a handle.

The valve clearance of it by the book is 0.21mm (0.008 in.) for intake and 0.28mm (0.011 in., as minimum thickness. The 2008 Accord K24Z2 engine valve clearance is same for intake, but the exhaust is 0.25mm (0.010 in.).
